Evolución de la industria argentina en la postconvertibilidad: un análisis a nivel provincial

Abstract

El objetivo del artículo es describir el desempeño de la industria manufacturera a nivel provincial en el período de postconvertibilidad, en términos de las siguientes variables: empleo registrado, cantidad de empresas, valor agregado, anuncios de inversión privada y exportaciones. Adicionalmente, se lo compara con el observado en la década anterior. La hipótesis sostenida en este trabajo es que el desempeño industrial en la postconvertibilidad no ha sido homogéneo en las diferentes provincias argentinas y que, por el contrario, las regiones en donde ha sido mayor ya contaban con capacidades previas, -tales como acumulación inicial de capital humano, capital físico, conocimientos o instituciones-, historia industrial o dotación de recursos naturales.
