Los centros turísticos como escala del desarrollo local. El rol de los municipios turísticos en un contexto de globalización de la economía

Abstract

El presente artículo surge como una aproximación teórica y conceptual a la temática de referencia en el marco del proyecto de investigación “Desarrollo turístico a escala local. Construcción y articulación de la política y gestión en un centro turístico norpatagónico. Caso: San Carlos de Bariloche”. En tal sentido, se presenta la construcción de un abordaje teórico que permite aproximarse al objeto de estudio relacionado con el rol de los municipios turísticos en un contexto de la globalización económica, conceptualizando las concepciones de desarrollo que permiten caracterizar la noción de desarrollo local como escalas de progreso social, anclando el análisis en el supuesto de entender a los centros turísticos como escalas de desarrollo local.
