Manejo del crecimiento de destinos turísticos de montaña: Whistler, British Columbia, Canadá - San Martín de los Andes, Neuquén, Argentina

Abstract

El propósito del documento es analizar un caso de un destino de montaña internacional que se ha caracterizado por tener un proceso de planificación sostenido en el tiempo, Whister en Canadá e iniciar un proceso de consultas a distintos grupos de interés de San Martín de los Andes tendientes a definir un enfoque para el manejo del crecimiento en dicho destino. En el desarrollo del documento, se procura delinear el benéfico aporte de trabajar por formas de gestión que aseguren la articulación entre el sector público y privado para generar políticas y prácticas de planeamiento y modelos de autoevaluación de gestión ambiental que reconozcan la alta complejidad del fenómeno turístico en las distintas escalas de intervención.
