Territorio, patrimonio y mitologías. Proposiciones para una revisión del turismo desde lo americano

Abstract

El presente ensayo es una pequeña enumeración de reflexiones acerca del patrimonio, desde una perspectiva americana. Se confronta así, una visión eurocéntrica del territorio como depósito de signos devenidos del trabajo humano, con una visión americocéntrica del territorio entendido como naturaleza venerable articulada en una interacción mitológica entre sujeto y objeto. La diferencia de concepciones permite establecer una completa gama de diferencias: cultura / mitología, objeto cultural patrimonial (monumento) / objeto mitológico patrimonial (narración-suceso-mito-rito), posesión / contemplación, colección-museo / paisaje-lugar, macro-objeto artístico / micro-objeto artesanal, etc. A ello se agrega la circunstancia americana de su sojuzgamiento-refundación europea y las consecuentes cuestiones de una compleja hibridación y mestizaje: es decir, una vía peculiar de modernidad.
