La localización de las segundas residencias turísticas. Caso de estudio: Malinalco, México

Abstract

En Malinalco, Estado de México (México), el crecimiento del turismo residencial se ha acentuado durante la pasada década, refiriendo un patrón de localización aparentemente espontáneo, razón por la cual la identificación de los factores de localización de las segundas residencias se vuelve relevante. La investigación se realizó con base en el modelo de Solsona y López (2012). Para ello se realizó un inventario de segundas residencias, una encuesta a turistas residenciales y entrevistas a personas clave de la localidad. Los resultados revelan que los factores de localización determinantes para adquirir una vivienda de uso turístico en Malinalco son el clima agradable y la proximidad a la residencia habitual, descartando al paisaje y a los atractivos culturales como factores significativos.
