El espacio turístico litoral

Abstract

La presencia de recursos naturales condiciona la localización espacial del turismo y permite diferenciar espacios definidos por la función turística. Los destinos litorales concentran gran parte de la oferta turística mundial, reflejan los efectos de la transformación y reorganización territorial, constituyen la forma más común y diferencial del desarrollo turístico y el principal motivo del desplazamiento de los mayores flujos turísticos internacionales. El espacio litoral es un área muy dinámica, donde existe una fuerte interrelación entre los ecosistemas terrestres y marinos. Los efectos más frecuentes de la actividad turística en el espacio litoral están asociados al cambio drástico del uso del suelo. La acción antrópica ejercida sobre el medio ambiente colabora con la sustitución de ecosistemas naturales por otros artificiales. Con frecuencia los ambientes más afectados constituyen la esencia de la atractividad turística y ceden paso a la construcción de urbanizaciones integradas por equipamiento hotelero de amplias dimensiones, marinas, puertos deportivos, malecones, campos de golf y otros espacios de recreación.
