El turismo rural en Europa

Abstract

El término turismo rural abarca toda una serie de conceptos que pueden asociarse a la actividad turística en espacio rural y se fundamenta en cualidades ambientales, económicas y culturales. El turismo rural constituye en la actualidad uno de los aspectos fundamentales para el mantenimiento de las poblaciones rurales en áreas económicamente poco desarrolladas y garantiza el mantenimiento de bienes patrimoniales culturales y medioambientales. Los efectos económicos que produce son evidentes, generando en el conjunto de Europa en la actualidad flujos monetarios de gran magnitud.
