Globalization And Policies For The Development Of Alternative Forms Of Travel

Abstract

Issues, related to the processes of globalization in modern times and their impact on various aspects of tourism, are analyzed in this paper. Changes in standardization and unification of the tourism product, the polarization between the established resort destinations and undeveloped internal territories of the country determined the purpose of the research namely analysis of globalization’s challenges and implementation of policies of the leading countries regarding practical solution of the problems of sustainable tourism development. Showing the approaches pursued in the tourism policy by leading countries in the development of tourism products for alternative tourism practices, the paper is affiliated with the contemporary reflection on sustainable tourism development and capability of alternative tourism practices to intensify economic activities in non-tourist areas.
