Abstract

Symptoms of the need for changes in the socio-economic sphere and to seek to implement them are clearly identified. Against this background of increasingly clear need some re-thinking ideas of classical bourgeois political economy and especially its understanding of the role and place of the state in social and economic lives. John S. Mill I address these tasks with a clear understanding of their significance. The fact that he wrote the work "Principles of Political Economy" for an unusually short period within a year and a half speaks clearly of the importance it attaches to the issues discussed in it.
