Population Ageing €“ The Challenge Of The New Century

Abstract

This is a review about the recent scientific concepts related to population ageing in global and regional scales and the European programs of research. It is also about projects of database and priorities regarding the integration of studies and policy-oriented issues for further 15 years. Special information is included from the participation of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in the projects of ageing of the European Union according to the 7-th framework program of the EU Commission.
