Methodological Problems In The Selection Of Representative Goods For The Needs Of The International Economic Comparisons

Abstract

The international economic comparisons (IECs) have standed for a log time as a main approach for studying the trendencies in the world social and aconomic development. The ingternational economic comparisons are conducted on the basis of statistical information for a numberof goods and services, which are being referred to as “representatives” (or “goods-representatives”.The right selection of the goods-representatives (GR) is a precondition for achieving of results corresponding to the targets and tasks of the undertaken international economic comparisons.
