Studying The Trends In Retail Chain Inventory Management

Abstract

We can specify inventory as the transformation of some of the assets from production assortment into retail assortment protecting the fluctuations and failures in the supplies and striving to maintain the balance between supply and demand. It is intended to ensure sales in the businesses and to meet customer needs. This study aims to synthesize theoretical formulations related to retail chain inventory, to analyze the methodological framework and on this basis to outline recommendations for their improvement in real conditions. The object of study is the ‘Piccadilly’ retail chain and the subject – the state and trends in the management of inventory in the basic entity.
