Coordination failures in livestock farming systems of Martinique: a field experiment test

Abstract

Bien qu’en net recul, l’agriculture occupe une place singulière à la Martinique. Elle se caractérise par la prédominance de productions végétales (banane, canne-à-sucre), issues de systèmes de production orientés sur l’extérieur. En marge de ces cultures dites conventionnelles, les productions animales constituent dans ce territoire un vecteur de diversification de l’agriculture et de sécurisation des approvisionnements alimentaires. Elles présentent de ce point de vue un potentiel de développement. L’activité d’élevage demeure pourtant peu structurée et insuffisamment organisée, ce qui en pénalise l’essor. Après avoir analysé la qualité de la coordination entre acteurs parties prenantes des filières de bovidés, nous tentons, à partir d’un jeu expérimental, d’initier un processus d’apprentissage de dynamiques coopératives par les agents.
