Ruralité, industrie et formes de pluriactivité : une approche comparative. Valais (Suisse) et Valteline (Italie), 1860-1930

  • Lorenzetti, Luigi
Registered author(s):

    L’article analyse les caractéristiques de la pluriactivité dans deux régions alpines à forte vocation viticole et où le processus d’industrialisation amène, dès la seconde moitié du XIX e siècle, de nouvelles opportunités d’emploi et de revenu pour les ménages. Dans un premier moment, sont pris en compte les facteurs affectant les formes de la pluriactivité, notamment le rôle (d’intégration ou de substitution) du revenu industriel par rapport au revenu agricole, ainsi que les possibilités d’adaptation du temps de travail industriel avec les besoins des exploitations. Ensuite, à travers l’exemple de deux réalités locales en Valais et en Valteline, l’article analyse les facteurs qui définissent les logiques de l’embauche des individus dans le secteur industriel.
