Zagadnienie wymiany w myśli ekonomicznej polskich scholastyków

Abstract

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie osiągnięć intelektualnych polskich scholastyków – Mateusza z Krakowa i Jakuba z Paradyża – których z powodzeniem można uznać za prekursorów myśli ekonomicznej na ziemiach polskich. Jak dowodzimy, zagadnienie wymiany i godziwość zawieranych transakcji zajmowały istotne miejsce w ich rozważaniach dotyczących porządku ekonomicznego. Artykuł przedstawia w możliwie kompleksowy sposób poglądy obu autorów na kwestie ekonomiczne, czym uzupełnia lukę w polskim piśmiennictwie poświęconym początkom myśli ekonomicznej na ziemiach polskich. Autorzy ci, choć często czerpali ze spuścizny Tomasza z Akwinu, nierzadko prezentowali poglądy uzupełniające lub nawet otwarcie polemiczne względem jego rozważań. Dzięki temu w Polsce oraz w innych krajach scholastyczna doktryna ekonomiczna mogła być twórczo rozwijana i dostosowywana tam, gdzie było to uwarunkowane specyfiką krajowej gospodarki, zawsze jednak w szerokich ramach doktryny tomizmu.
