Abstract

T-cell receptors An αβ T-cell response depends on the recognition of antigen plus major histocompatibility complex (MHC) proteins by its antigen receptor (TCR). Scott-Browne et al. present evidence that TCR genes encode inherent specificity for MHC molecules.
