Polarizarea politică: fenomene în zona comunicării politice

Abstract

When utilized as an additional framework for communication, the digital realm facilitates the establishment of novel social groups and intriguing occurrences that merit further investigation. The phenomenon known as echo chambers can lead to polarization in attitudes and increase the possibility of fake news and widespread misinformation. These findings are particularly well-established in the field of political communication. The goal of the current study is to dive deeper into these powerful occurrences and highlight the potential effects they may have on political communication. With the use of the gamified questionnaire, a tool of sociological investigation, we want to identify the online community space where the divisive political conversation takes place. As a result of our research, we received 14,834 replies, allowing us to identify polarizing themes and describe political polarization in our culture.
