Evaluation of Conditions for Recreation and Tourism in the South Moravian Region

Abstract

The article compares different approaches to an evaluation of tourism development potential. This evaluation is one of the basic research methods used in regional development of tourism. The analyzed approaches were applied in the area of the South Moravian Region and their effectiveness was compared.Based on evaluation results, the main forms and types of tourism with the largest development potential in the South Moravian Region were defined.
