Abstract

The article is a personal account about ‘gb agency’, the gallery foundedby Solene Guiller and Nathalie Boutin in Paris in 2001. The ‘agency’ ofthis creative project has been relying on a rhizomatic and radical programthat, as in the position of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, has never intendedto be peremptory, but in a continuous processual contingency. Overthe years, the decision to support extraordinary and almost unknown artistshas received the unanimous esteem of the global art system. Integrity, ethics, sociocultural and institutional engagement keep on inspiring the scientificquality and the human energy that make this project possible even whenmarket’s times are tough.
