In this article the author presents the potential utility of performance measurement methods and mechanisms of arts and cultural organization. The aim is to highlight some important themes by stressing particularly: the requested connection between organizational preconditions of measurement in art and cultural organization (goals-resource-results) and performance measurement; the description and interpretation of utility and utilization of performance measurement in three major perspectives (within arts and cultural organizations; during value creation processes between arts and cultural organizations and other organizations; for policy makers).
