Abstract

This research suggests understanding the role of mediation in shaping peoples engagement with heritage. It aims to examine the role of digital narratives in enriching heritage experiences. The methodology is threefold. The level of engagement is the first step towards dialogical modes of interaction, which is the experiential level. Secondly, storytelling is tackled through the content of the stories as the medium transmitting the voices and representations, which is the narrative level. Lastly, meaning-making is related to how we feel, think imagine, and interpret. The complex pattern of personal, social and symbolic relationships is examined on the semantic level.
