Wireline voice telephone services prices in Italy: 2000-2005

Abstract

Il settore delle telecomunicazioni ha subito profondi mutamenti in questi ultimi anni a seguito non solo dei rilevanti cambiamenti tecnologici che lo hanno investito, ma anche a causa dei processi di liberalizzazione, regolamentazione e privatizzazione che lo hanno caratterizzato a partire dalla fine degli anni Novanta. In questo lavoro, utilizzando i dati raccolti dall'Autorità per le Garanzie nelle Comunicazioni, si intende fornire una valutazione di come la concomitanza di tali fattori abbia influenzato i prezzi medi pagati dagli utenti finali, sia famiglia sia affari, per i servizi di telefonia vocale tradizionali. Piuttosto che valutare la bontà delle scelte regolatorie che hanno contribuito a determinare lo sviluppo dell'industria, l'obiettivo dell'analisi è quello di definire un quadro il più oggettivo e preciso possibile sull'andamento in Italia dei prezzi dei servizi di telefonia vocale su rete fissa nel periodo 2000-2005.
