Abstract

The purpose of this review-article is to present the book which has been recently published in honor of Mario Talamona. The "Introduction" of the Editor, Gianandrea Goisis, describes the studies and the scientific works produced by Mario Talamona in a period longer than fifty years. The papers published in the book are written by twenty-six distinguished scholars and they cover many fields of research, from economics to law. This notes discusse a few methodological problems in economic science; they also underline the importance of the economic reasoning as an instrument particularly usefull for a better understanding and interpretation of legal institutions. From this point of view, the study of economic subjects in the faculties of law should be encouraged.
