When India moves..

Author

Abstract

Indian population is equal to 1211 million and probably it will reach 1.5 billion in 2030. During the same time period, urban population will grow from 340 to 590 million people (from 30% to 40% of the overall population). Surely, such a strong urbanization trend is going to have fundamental impact on economics, politics, and on the industrial sectors monitored by our WF magazine as well. The Indian lighting fixtures industry has consistently recorded a double digit growth over the last three years and it is expected to exceed the present 12% per year level in the years to come.
