Abstract

La Educación financiera es un objetivo planteado por la OCDE a sus países miembros como herramienta para mejorar la toma de decisiones y la generación de hábitos financieros en los ciudadanos con el propósito de disminuir los riesgos en las finanzas personales, por lo cual continuamente se hacen recomendaciones en implementar programas de investigación y desarrollo para preparar a la población en dicha materia. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar el nivel de educación financiera de la población económicamente activa y a los estudiantes de nivel medio superior en Cd. Delicias, Chihuahua, tomando diferentes características de esta para contrastar los resultados. La naturaleza de la investigación fue de tipo cuantitativa y el diseño de la investigación fue no experimental, transeccional descriptivo ya que solo se observaron y midieron los datos durante un periodo determinado. La recolección de datos se realizó mediante un instrumento diseñado siguiendo las recomendaciones de la OCDE y de investigaciones previas que han proporcionado información sobre el tema. Como resultado se logró evaluar los elementos de conocimiento, comportamiento y elementos asociados a la educación financiera.
