Agricultura sustentable y la competitividad de los productores agrícolas del municipio de Ensenada, Baja California, México

Abstract

La agricultura es una de las actividades esenciales para el desarrollo económico de México, debido a la importancia que tiene en función de otros sectores económicos. Así mismo, para el logro de un desarrollo sustentable se requiere de la contribución de productores, sociedad y gobierno. La información fue obtenida por un instrumento de investigación debidamente validado por expertos, el cuestionario fue aplicado a una muestra de 81 productores agrícolas del Municipio de Ensenada, Baja California, México. Se analizaron los procesos de producción, energías sustentables, rendimiento en producción, la tecnología aplicada y la competitividad que tienen dentro de su mercado. Los resultados muestran que la aplicación de tecnologías para el desarrollo de una agricultura sustentable de las empresas encuestadas ha permitido un mejor desempeño en materia de producción y con ello han logrado ser más competitivos, aportando también una contribución significativa al cuidado ambiental que adoptan y aplican las empresas agrícolas del municipio.
