Abstract

"La retórica, comúnmente, es vista como la forma de manipular los argumentos con el fin de engañar diferentes audiencias. Contrario a esto, las miradas académicas, históricamente, han mostrado a la retórica como una manera sistemática de argumentar con el fin de promover diversas acciones y actitudes entre un público específico. Sin embargo, la mirada tradicional ha visto a la ciencia como objetiva y no usuaria de la retórica. La contabilidad ha entrado en esta mirada y se ha visto como una forma objetiva y neutral de ‘reflejar’ la realidad. El presente texto hace énfasis en los contemporáneos estudios sociales de la ciencia y la tecnología para mostrar que la contabilidad, así como la ciencia, posee una retórica especial que lleva a que sea legitimada actualmente como representativa de la realidad."
