Abstract

Az Egyesült Arab Emírségek bankszektora erõsen töredezett. Nincs egy domináns szereplõ, az 5–6 legaktívabb nagybank piaci részesedése egyformán jelentõs, a többi résztvevõ kisebb részaránnyal bír. A nagybankok versenye miatt több bank próbál külföldi piacok felé nyitni. A bankok tulajdonosi szerkezetében jelentõs az állami részvétel. Az Egyesült Arab Emírségek bankszektora a legnagyobb eszközállománnyal bír az Öböl-menti országok közt. A bankszektort hazai bankok dominálják (NBAD 2013). A válságot követõen a jegybank a gazdasági stabilitás visszaállítása céljából számos új szabályt hozott, továbbá jelentõs likviditást vitt a rendszerbe, aminek következtében a bankszektornak sikerült talpra állnia.
