Sakarya’daki Yaşlı Suriyelilerin Göç Deneyimleri ve Sorunları
[The Migration Experiences and Problems of Syrian Elderly in Sakarya]

Abstract

Bu çalışma göç sürecine katılan Suriyeli yaşlıların hem göç yolunda hem de hedef bölgedeki yaşadıkları deneyimleri ve sorunları tespit etme amacı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu amaçla yaşlı göçmenlerin beklenti, ihtiyaç ve sorunlarını Suriyeli göçmenler özelinde ikincil kaynaklardan ve mülakatlardan hareketle betimsel analiz yöntemi ile inceleme hedeflenmiştir. Çalışmada göç ve yaşlılık ilişkisi sosyal ağlar, aktif yaşlanma ve yerinde yaşlanma kavramları çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Sakarya’da ikamet eden ve evinde 60 yaş ve üzerinde hane ferdine sahip olan 7 Suriyeli ile derinlemesine mülakatlar yapılmış ve üç analiz düzeyine göre (psikolojik etkenler, gündelik pratiklere yönelik etkenler ve sosyal ağlara yönelik etkenler) incelenmiş ve sonuçlar kategorilendirilmiştir. Bu kategoriler aynı zamanda aktif yaşlanmanın önündeki engeller olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Çalışmanın ana /temel bulgularına sonuçlarına göre, Türkiye’deki Suriyeli yaşlıların gerek göç nedeni ile gerekse göç süreci ve sonrasına dair süreçlerin niteliği sebebi iki kat marjinal grubu temsil etmekte ve yaşanılan sorunlar ekonomik ve dile dayalı engellerle bir kat daha keskinleşmektedir. Çalışma bu engelleri ve sürece ait zorlukları aktif yaşlanma ilişkisi çerçevesinde incelemiştir.
