The Impact on the Working Class of China's Joining the WTO, and how the Trade Union will Deal with the Situation

Abstract

China will soon complete its work in drafting a multilateral trade agreement and thereby officially join the World Trade Organization (WTO) as a member state. Joining the WTO is a major development in the economic and social life of the Chinese people, and it will have a direct impact on the status of the working class as well as on the safeguarding of its rights and interests. This article aims to pose certain broad and preliminary viewpoints on these issues.
