Indicators of Electronic Banking in Iran (With a Glance on the Experiences of Other Countries (in Persian)

Abstract

By the increased use of internet¡ no wonder this technology to be used in financial and banking services. Probably the era we live in is the most exciting time in the history for studying development of markets and financial institutions. The increasing chaos of environment¡ competition and change¡ globalization¡ supervision and control of client’s preferences means the importance of New Strategies for absorption and keeping clients.Bank selection measure of the people¡ is their general satisfaction. According to the conducted studies¡ some of the important measures of the clients are: accessibility (such as bank location)¡ friends’ recommendations¡ the fame of the bank¡ the amount of credit offered¡ friendly conduct of the bank personnel¡ low service charges¡ suitable working hours for rendering banking services¡ offering special and quality services etc.The importance of these measures depending on different factors such as age¡ gender¡ income level¡ position¡ profession¡ cultural background of clients and also the nature of the bank (Islamic or traditional)¡ are different in various countries.Together with the practices of other countries in offering electronic banking¡ this paper has tried to look at important factors in acceptance and development of electronic banking in Iran so that in addition to provide the possibility of comparison¡ identify the effective measures in this regard. One of the most important factors studied in this paper is the sociology of respondents in accepting and applying electronic banking services in Iran. JEL Classification: R11, E21, O5
