Abstract

Gesundheit ist einer der gesellschaftlichen Bereiche mit traditionell hohen Zustimmungswerten für Solidarität und Gleichheit. Vor dem Hintergrund einer Zunahme (gefühlter) gesellschaftlicher Ungleichheit in vielen Bereichen kann sich mögliche ungleiche Behandlung im Gesundheitswesen daher rasch hoher Aufmerksamkeit gewiss sein. Vor diesem Hintergrund betrachtet dieser Beitrag nach kurzen Überlegungen zu den Diskussionssträngen zum dualen Krankenversicherungssystem die Unterschiede zwischen gesetzlicher und privater Krankenversicherung in den zentralen Versorgungsbereichen – ambulante ärztliche Versorgung, Krankenhausversorgung und Arzneimittel – und geht auf die in der aktuellen politischen Debatte unterbreiteten Lösungsvorschläge ein.
