Abstract

Die Alterssicherungssysteme in Deutschland werden - wie in vielen anderen hoch entwickelten Ländern - in Zukunft durch die demographische Entwicklung stark belastet: Die Anzahl der Rentenempfänger steigt bei konstanter oder sogar sinkender Anzahl von Beitragszahlern. Die aktuelle Rentenreform versucht dem entgegenzusteuern. Bis zum Jahr 2010 gelingt dies, danach sind die bisher getroffenen Maßnahmen allerdings unzureichend. Eine Reihe von zusätzlichen Maßnahmen kann das System der gesetzlichen Altersvorsorge in Deutschland zukunftsfest machen. Im Zentrum stehen hierbei die Erhöhung des Rentenzugangsalters und eine Rentenformel, die die Belastung der GRV durch den demographischen Wandel genügend berücksichtigt.
