Abstract

In the empirical research of economic growth, different kinds of measuring factors (quantitative and qualitative) are used for the measurement of human resources. In this essay, we deal with the question which influence on economic growth the quantitative and qualitative measuring factors of human resources have and whether possible correlations can be proved empirically. Furthermore, the political-economic question is analyzed whether the quantity of education should be increased or measures to improve the education quality should be used. We find out that also non-economic, qualitative factors make an important contribution to the improvement of school education and with that the country’s economic development.
