'Local Linkages' of Rural Small-scale Industries: Some Empirical Finding

Abstract

Tulisan ini, dengan memakai data primer hasil suatu survai, mengkaji berapa besar keterkaitan industri kecil pada ekonomi lokal (local linkages) dalam hal penjualan output dan pemakaian tenaga kerja serta material-material lainnya. Hasil dari survai tersebut menunjukkan antara lain bahwa dalam hal pemakaian tenaga kerja industri-industri kecil di beberapa desa yang diteliti memang sangat penting arti mereka bagi ekonomi desa-desa tersebut. Tetapi dalam hal pasar output dan input mereka sangat tergantung pada ekonomi urban. Hal ini terutama disebabkan oleh permintaan lokal (rural) yang sangat lemah serta ketergantungan pengusaha-pengusaha kecil tersebut pada kapital dari pedagang-pedagang besar di urban.
