A Simple General System of Equations In Economic Growth Theory: the Relevant Case of Deterministic Models for Indonesia

Abstract

Teori pengendalian (Control Theory) digunakan untuk memperoleh seperangkat kebijakan yang optimal dari suatu sistem yang deterministic maupun stokastik. Dalam operations research dan perekayasaan industri, metode ini telah lama digunakan untuk perencanaan operasi perusahaan seperti penjadwalan produksi, pengendalian persediaan dan berbagai aspek operasi perusahaan lainnya. Penerapan metode ini dalam masalah pertumbuhan ekonomi dan akumulasi modal telah membangkitkan kembali minat para ahli ekonomi terhadap mekanisme harga yang mampu melestarikan proses pertumbuhan, impiikasi kompetitifnya bagi desentralisasi dan keterkendalian (controllability), serta berbagai aspek stabilitas. Dalam artikel ini, penulis mcnyajikan penerapan teori pengendalian dalam masalah ekonomi. Dengan membatasi pembahasan pada metode deterministik dari pengendalian optimal, penulis membentuk sebuah model pertumbuhan ekonomi dengan mengajukan kasus resource depletion, pengembangan teknologi alternatif, serta diversifikasi tenaga kerja kepada kegiatan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang kiranya mempunyai relevansi dengan perekonomian Indonesia
