Abstract

This article shows that we can trace economic cooperations among developing countries since 1955, from the Asia Africa Conference in Bandung. The Steps to improve these cooperations are not smooth ones and their progress move slowly. But, they move toward a developingcountry collective self-reliance. The global economic and technical cooperations developed by the Non-block Movement and Group of 77 strengthen the developing countries' bargaining position in dealing with developed countries. While the regional and inter-regional economic and technical cooperations as shown by Asean and the Organization of Islamic Conference succeed in tigfitening the cooperation of the countries within the respective repon. These two schemes of global and regional economic and technical cooperations may be implemented in setting up the New International Economic Order.
