Abstract

Dapat memenuhi kebutuhan sandang-pangan dan lebih meningkatkan taraf kehidupan merupakan sasaran penting dalam berbagai kebijaksanaan ekonomi dan sosial di Indonesia yang berdasarkan faisafah Pancasiia. Untuk itu, Repelita II lebih menekankan lagi pada segi pemerataan pendapatan dengan delapan jalur pemerataan, terutama untuk dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dasar manusia, khususnya sandang dan papan. Tulisan ini bermaksud membuat bahasan mengenai perkembangan ekonomi Indonesia selama 25 tahun berselang dengan lebih menitikberatkan pada permasalahan seberapa jauh perencanaan dan kebijaksanaan ekonomi telah dapat memperbaiki distribusi pendapatan dan mengurangi kemiskinan. Juga, mengkaji studi-studi utama yang berkenaan dengan pokok masalah tersebut dan menganalisa berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi perbaikan taraf kehidupan penduduk selama dua dasawarsa pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia yang lalu.
