Abstract

Technology is a new variable in the economic modernization equation The push for economic progress by developing countries has focused increasing attention on technology, its forms, terms of transfer, and role in the development process. As a result, technology has arisen in importance to rival goods and capital in international economic relations. But unlike goods and capital for which we have developed well defined markets witf established institutions and policies, the market for technology remain: obscure and conceptually underdeveloped.
