Abstract

This study of land tenure programs and related activities should be of interest to everyone concerned with land reform/and social development/and economic. It should be of particular interest to Indonesians because the study examines land reform and related activities in ten countries in Asia where problems have much in common even though differing in specifics from country to country. Separate country studies are included for Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippine Islands, Thailand, India and Pakistan. All authors are experienced scholars in the field and have had extensive relationship with these problems in their particular country. They bring a realistic picture and analysis of the experiences, problems and prospects of land reform and related.
