Abstract

In this issue 104, Lecturas de Economía reaffirms its commitment to scientific publishing guided by rigor, plurality, and academic integrity. In light of the recent launch of SCImago IRIS (Integrity Risk Indicators), this editorial underscores the importance of strengthening sound editorial practices aimed at preventing risks such as institutional endogamy, the excessive recurrence of authorship, and other dynamics that may undermine the credibility of scientific knowledge. In this context, it is noteworthy that the National University of Colombia and the University of Antioquia are ranked among the top twenty Latin American institutions highlighted by this tool, reflecting progress in the consolidation of a culture of scientific integrity. The journal also acknowledges its placement in the third quartile (Q3) of the SCImago ranking, a result that encourages it to sustain and further improve its quality standards. Finally, the academic community is informed that, after overcoming recent technical and administrative difficulties, the editorial team is now working to normalize its processes and to ensure the timely handling of submitted manuscripts.
