Inertial growth : The British and American Cases

Abstract

Estudios realizados por la Corporación Autónoma Regional del Centro de Antioquia (Corantioquia) concluyen que los bosques y páramos localizados en el noroccidente del departamento de Antioquia constituyen un ecosistema estratégico, al actuar como oferentes de bienes y servicios ambientales. Además, el sistema natural garantiza la provisión de agua para el desarrollo de actividades recreativas en el Parque de las Aguas, localizado en el Área Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá (Antioquia, Colombia). Con el método del costo de viaje y modelos econométricos que corrigen los sesgos de truncación y estratificación endógena se valoraron económicamente los beneficios asociados con la recreación en el Parque.
