Hacia una definicion de la economia de la salud

Abstract

Los Economistas de la salud se ocupan de la organización del mercado de servicios de salud y del beneficio neto de la inversión en la salud de las personas. Las preferencias del consumidor no son una guía adecuada para la asignación óptima de recursos para salud. El uso óptimo de recursos para la atención de la enfermedad y la promoción de la salud define el campo especial de investigación.
