Industria, estrategias y competitividad regional en el Occidente colombiano

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este estudio es presentar algunos elementos para el diseño de una estrategia de competitividad de la industria manufacturera desde la perspectiva regional. Partiendo de un breve análisis de la industria en el caso de la región del occidente colombiano, se plantea que en el marco de un nuevo modelo de desarrollo económico e industrial, le compete a los entes regionales promover acciones para elevar la competitividad de las actividades económicas. Dichas acciones deben centrarse en la generación de externalidades que incrementan la productividad total de los factores en la industria.
