Abstract

A szerző sorra veszi és cáfolja azokat az érveket és állításokat, amelyeket Kovács Mihály András vitacikkében olvashatók. A kritizált cikkből ugyanis nem következik, hogy ellenzi a jegybank önállóságát, a szerző nem állította, hogy gyorsabb infláció miatt a gazdasági növekedés dinamikusabb lehetett volna, azt sem, hogy az infláció üteme magától is csökkenne, költségvetési és monetáris restrikció nélkül. Bizonyítja, hogy az inflációs célkitűzés költségei az expanzív jövedelmi és költségvetési politika, és az erre késztető politikai harc körülményei közt jelentősek. Külön súlyt helyez annak bemutatására, hogy a valuták reálfelértékelődését radikálisan eltérő hatású folyamatok válthatják ki a különböző országokban, ezért ugyanolyan mértékű reálfelértékelődés országonként nagyon is eltérő következményekkel járhat együtt.
