Abstract

A tanulmány átfogó, széles mutatószámrendszeren keresztül mutatja be a gazdaság térbeli szerkezetét, s ennek segítségével megállapítja, mely megyék, régiók számítanak fejlettnek vagy éppen elmaradottnak. A három faktor (gazdaság, jólét, demográfia) lineáris kombinációjaként előállított komplex fejlettségi mutatóval felállított sorrend annyiban tartalmaz újdonságot a hagyományosan végzett fejlettségvizsgálathoz képest, hogy Budapest-centrikusságtól eltekintve vizsgálja a településeket, és így egyértelműen mutatja ki Közép- és Nyugat-Dunántúl megyéinek fejlettségi dominanciáját. Klaszterelemzés világít rá, hogy a fejlett megyéken belül előfordulnak olyan megyei jogú városok és egyéb városok, amelyek nem a legfejlettebb településeket jellemző klaszterhoz tartoznak (például Veszprém).
