Bognár József akadémikus tudományos munkássága és szellemi öröksége
[The academic work of Academician József Bognár and his intellectual heritage]

Abstract

Bognár József közel nyolcvanéves gazdag életútján (1917-1996) igen jelentős, sokrétű tudományos tevékenységet fejtett ki. 1954-től az MKKE Világgazdasági Tanszékének tanszékvezető egyetemi tanáraként működött, az 1950-es évek végétől kezdve pedig kiemelkedő kutatásszervezői, vezetői feladatokat is vállalt. A következő áttekintés Bognár József néhány fontos művének legfőbb megállapításait, következtetéseit bemutatva kívánja felvillantani a száz éve született akadémikus tudományos eredményeit. Azok a mai olvasók, akik e művek születésének évtizedeit csak történelemkönyvekből ismerik, talán kissé csodálkozva szembesülnek néhány, ma már evidenciának számító összefüggéssel, megállapítással. Ezek azonban megjelenésük időpontjában újnak vagy újszerűnek számítottak, sőt esetenként bátran szembeszálltak a hivatalos felfogással. Bognár József életművének éppen az adja az igazi értékét, hogy felismeréseinek közreadásával hatni kívánt a gazdaságpolitikára: figyelmeztette a kor döntéshozóit az akkoriban uralkodó felfogás - fogalmazzunk így - korlátaira, a változtatás elkerülhetetlenségére. Munkásságának gazdag örökségéből kiderül, hogy igen sok tudományos következtetése fontos tanulsággal szolgál számunkra, sőt - mutatis mutandis - ma is érvényes.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: B27, E61, F410, O11, O19.
