Abstract

Mountainous and remote regions often lack reliable communication infrastructure, making emergency response difficult and delayed. This paper proposes a LoRa-based Internet of Things (IoT) system designed to provide long-range, low-power communication for safety applications in such environments. The system integrates a wireless LoRa communication module to transmit emergency signals without relying on GSM networks. A mobile monitoring dashboard is used to visualize real-time data and assist rescue teams. The proposed system aims to improve response time, enhance communication reliability, and ensure user safety in network-dead zones. Experimental evaluation focuses on communication range, latency, and power efficiency, demonstrating the feasibility of LoRa technology for emergency applications in challenging terrains.
