E-Commerce in India: An Analysis of Its Impact on Consumer Behavior and Economic Growth

Abstract

In this paper we are going to study rapid growth of e commerce in India. The international economy is having a deep impact on domestic business. Electronic media is growing quickly in youth nowadays. The research is based on primary data, along with secondary data from various reports and studies. This article discussed the aspects of e-commerce including its importance, reasons of rise, and challenges in the Indian market. Despite of the growth this sector faces difficulties such as delivery in rural areas, privacy related to data of customers, and growing competition. The study concludes that e-commerce in India will continue to rise, by growth of technology and growing digital marketing. The buying and selling of goods and services over the internet is known as electronic commerce. In India, e-commerce has grown significantly over the past years due to increased internet accessibility and smart phones. E-commerce businesses such as Flipkart and Amazon India have changed the way consumers shop. The digital payment method and government initiatives like “Digital India” have increased online transactions.
