Abstract

This paper presents RES-Q-Chain, an integrated framework that combines the high-throughput transaction processing capabilities of NOVA-Charge with the robust smart contract and consensus mechanisms of SM-Charge. The proposed framework leverages the original simulation results from both parent papers. From NOVA-Charge, we adopt the transaction throughput model which achieves a peak throughput of 1,374 transactions per second (tps) at a send rate of 1,175 tps. From SM-Charge, we adopt the gas consumption model where the complete pricing contract consumes 65,468 gas units across operations including create agreement (21,632 gas), create SLA (21,924 gas), PBFT consensus (21,912 gas), and authorizeCharge (21,620 gas). The integrated framework demonstrates that combining high throughput with robust consensus is feasible without compromising either aspect.
